Students interested in studying English for Language Learners (ELL) / English as a Second Language (ESL) have two options: credit courses or non-credit courses.
Credit ELL courses
The College's ELL Program is administered through the Communications, Arts & Humanities division and includes courses in Grammar, Writing, Reading, and Listening and Speaking. These courses are designed to prepare students for academic coursework. A full-time ELL course load is four courses, equal to 18 hours of classroom instruction and tutoring per week. Non-credit ESL courses
Non-credit ESL courses are administered through Continuing Education and may include up to four hours of instruction per week in subjects such as pronunciation, conversation, TOEFL preparation, and more. Non-credit courses offer students of all backgrounds a friendly and enriching environment in which to study.
