Faculty Orientation
Welcome to Delaware County Community College. As with other similarly sized colleges, we offer a tremendous number of services to our staff and our students, and others are added constantly. We hope that we can help illuminate some of the most significant items here, and provide details on how to stay abreast of other initiatives that may benefit you or your students.
Delaware County Community College is an open-door comprehensive two-year public institution serving Delaware and Chester counties. Its main campus is in Marple Township, PA, on 123 acres. It is sponsored by 11 of the school districts in Delaware County. It receives approximately 32 percent of its funds from the state, 60 percent from students and 8 percent from the local sponsors.
The Mission of Delaware County Community College is to facilitate learning by providing quality educational programs and services that are student focused, accessible, comprehensive, and flexible to meet the educational needs of the diverse communities it serves. In doing so, the College will enable its students to develop themselves to the limit of their desires and capabilities, and to be successful.
