Surgical Technology Students Believe in "gLOVE"
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA, Nov. 5, 2012)—Surgical Technology students at Delaware County Community College are once again joining the Association of Surgical Technologists across the country in an effort to “gLOVE” the world one heart at a time.
Students are collecting gloves, hats, scarves and outerwear for local shelter residents as well as for Operation Warm, which provides children in need with new winter coats. Collection boxes are being distributed throughout the College’s Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA) as well as at clinical sites throughout Delaware, Chester and Philadelphia counties. The campaign runs through December 10.
Surgical technologists, generally found in operating rooms helping surgeons into sterile gloves, want to extend their caring hands to help warm residents in need. For more information on the “gLOVE” campaign, please call Anne Marie O’Shea, instructor of Allied Health, Emergency Services and Nursing, at 610-517-6928.
