CWR Essay Contest
This year’s College-Wide Reading Essay Contest asked students to write about a “mental health journey” in the spirit of Alexi Pappas, the Olympic runner, actor, and author of this year’s common reading: Bravey: Chasing Dreams, Befriending Pain, and Other Big Ideas.
We had over 40 students submit courageous and well-crafted essays, demonstrating that there are numerous “braveys” among us here at DCCC! The students listed below gave us permission to share their very personal stories with the DCCC community. We invite you to honor them by taking some time to read about their experiences and insights.
THIS YEAR’S WINNING ESSAY:
“Littered by Mind and Memory” by Sara Rowlinson
