Plan of Study For Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
Eligibility: In addition to meeting the requirements established for the ADN-BSN Concurrent Enrollment Program:
- LPNs must have graduated from an accredited LPN nursing program
- LPN students must have completed NUS 214 (LPN Transition to RN Education course) as of this Spring 2016. NUS 214 has all the same requirements and pre-requisites as NUS 110.
- Beginning in the Fall of 2017, NUS 214 will be offered in the Fall st the same time as NUS 110. NUS 214 has all the same requirements and pre-requisites as NUS 110.
- Once the LPN has successfully completed NUS 214 they be awarded 2 credits for NUS 214 and 9 credits for NUS 110.
- Course Roadmap. This establishes the course progression for LPNs entering the LPN to RN transition course and the DCCC nursing program. Traditional nursing students will begin their nursing education in a 9 credit fundamentals course (NUS 110). LPNs will take a 2 credit hybrid course (NUS 214) which runs current to NUS1 10. LPNs will be admitted to the DCCC nursing program and be joined with the traditional nursing students in their second nursing course (NUS111).

The summer after students have completed their ADN progrrm, students will take thc NCLEX exam. Students wishing to progress toward tbe BSN are required to complete all DCCC*prerequisite courses, all DCCC**co-requisite courses. Students must also have passed tho NCLEX exam and have a GPA of 2.0 in order to erter
the RN-BSN program !t Drerel University. If additional ***BSN general education courses still need to be completed, students may work out a plan of study with their Drerel academic advisor to complete these requirements either at DCCC or at Drexel. Billed and Funded by Drexel when student fully matriculated into Drexel University.

In order to determine halftime and full time status the conversion formulas are below:
The Quarter to Semester conversion is 2/3 or (multiply by .667). Drexel does not round up and all credits are administered on the .5 interval. Example a 3-credit quarter course would be 2 semester credits. When applying the conversion, it is rounded down to the nearest .5 and not up to the whole credit.
