Dr. Rosa Cooper '04 Receives Wong Moss Outstanding Alumni Award
(Delaware County, PA • November 2, 2016)—Dr. Rosa Cooper ’04, recently promoted to research program manager at the Allentown campus of the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, was selected by the College to receive the 2016 Wong Moss Outstanding Alumni Award.
The award recognizes distinguished alumni for their professional and educational accomplishments, as well as for their community service. It was created by the late Barbara Wong Moss, a former College trustee, and her son, John, in honor of her father, a Chinese immigrant who believed in the value and importance of education.
Dr. Cooper received the award from Alumni Association President Denise Romanelli ’94 at an October 12 Women in STEM roundtable discussion held at the College’s Marple Campus. Dr. Cooper was one of the panelists for the discussion, which focused on opportunities available for women in the career fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
After graduating from the College in 2004 with an associate in applied science in Nursing, Dr. Cooper earned a bachelor of science and a master of science in Nursing. Last year, she earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and became board certified as a rehabilitation registered nurse.
