Born in Florence, Italy, I came to the United States in the mid-80's to learn English. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend college in the US because this truly transformed my life. It was my former professors, especially people like James Ryan (CIIS) and James Carse (NYU) that inspired me to become a professor. I hope that I will also inspire my students to continue their education, seek the truth and pass it on to the next generation of students. I became an US citizen on September 9, 2009.
