Culinary Arts in Delaware County
Through a special partnership with Widener University, the College is offering cooking classes in Delaware County in addition to classes already offered at the Brandywine Campus in Chester County. The partnership provides easy access to the College’s Culinary Arts program thanks to Widener’s School of Hospitality’s full-service kitchen with public transportation available. Classroom instruction for those pursuing a degree or certificate is provided at the College's Marple Campus, which is also easily accessible via public transportation.
Begin or advance your culinary arts career with an associate degree or professional certificate. The program offers:
• A combination of academic courses and hands-on learning
• Flexibility to choose from full-time day and part-time evening options
• Supervision under Chef Peter Gilmore, who spent much of his 35-year career at Le Bec-Fin
• Instruction from Chef Gilmore and other professional chefs
Public Transportation
SEPTA bus service is available to and from Widener University (One University Place, Chester, PA). SEPTA route #118 provides service from Delaware County Community College’s Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063) and route #109 provides service to and from the 69th Street Transportation Center.
