In its second year, the College’s SpectiCast series brings the classical realm of music, dance and opera closer to home for residents of Delaware and Chester Counties. Each concert is produced in real time using a state-of-the-art audiovisual system and is choreographed to capture the fullness of the orchestral performance and the intimacy of the on-stage experience.
First staged in Vienna in 1790, Mozart’s Così Fan Tutte (Thus Do They All) is a timeless opera that became increasingly popular in the twentieth century as accusations of its triviality were replaced by greater recognition of its depths. Mozart’s delight in juggling the comic and the serious is on full display in this performance, which is directed for the stage by Doris Dörrie and directed by Michael Beyer. The performance is in Italian with English subtitles.
