(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)—Delaware County Community College’s spring 2012 SpectiCast series concludes with a simulcast of the North American premiere of the Europa Konzert from Moscow on Sunday, April 1, at 2 p.m. The performance will be broadcast in HD and shown in the STEM Center Auditorium, Room 1403 at the Marple Campus (901 S. Filmed live at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the concert features violinist Vadim Repin and the Berliner Philharmoniker performing a repertoire that includes Stravinsky’s Symphony in Three Movements, Bruch’s Concerto for Violin No.1, Op.26 and Beethoven’s Symphony No.7 in A major, Op. 92. The performance runs 87 minutes long and is conducted by Sir Simon Rattle and directed by Michael Beyer.
Now in its second year, the College’s SpectiCast series brings the classical realm of music, dance and opera closer to home for residents of Delaware and Chester Counties. Each concert is produced in real time using a state-of-the-art audiovisual system and is choreographed to capture the fullness of the orchestral performance and the intimacy of the on-stage experience.
