(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)— Come learn about one of the nation’s fastest growing careers at a free information session hosted by Delaware County Community College at the Pennocks Bridge Campus (280 Pennocks Bridge Road, West Grove, PA) on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 6 p.m. Learn all you need to know about the College’s Medical Assistant Program and how you can enter this high-growth field.
At the session, faculty and instructors will be on-hand to discuss the two program options and help you to decide which program is right for you—a two-year certificate of proficiency or an associate degree. You can also have all your questions answered and learn more about the courses being offered at both the Pennocks Bridge Campus and the Exton Center (906 & 912 Springdale Drive, Exton, PA).
The College’s Medical Assistant program prepares students to serve as multi-skilled health care workers and function as assistants for physicians in a variety of ambulatory care settings. Medical assistants handle administrative and clinical duties and serve in a variety of medical settings. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, medical assisting is one of the nation’s fastest growing careers and employment in the field is expected to rise 31 percent between now and 2020.
