Lou Scott Golf Classic Raises Money for Scholarships
(Delaware/Chester County, PA, June 15, 2011) More than 100 golfers enjoyed a perfect day at the 11th annual Lou Scott Golf Classic on June 7 at The Golf Course at Glen Mills.
The more than $152,000 raised to date helps provide scholarship support to Delaware and Chester county high school students and three Penncrest High School students.
The annual tournament honors the late Lou Scott, former principal of Penncrest High School, who was a long-time advocate of education. He was the special assistant to the president of Delaware County Community College at the time of his death in 2000, but his legacy was carried forward by friends and expanded over the years to support students from all area high schools.
