(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)—Delaware County Community College’s Marketing and Public Relations office received a Silver Medallion Award from District 1 of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) for the “Find yourself here.” television campaign. The NCMPR is the only organization of its kinds that represents marketing and PR professionals at community and technical colleges.
Daniel J. Kanak, Director of Marketing and Communications, attended the District 1 Conference in Pittsburgh on October 15 to receive the Silver Medallion award, which recognizes the College for outstanding achievement in communications. Delaware County Community College is one of 95 member colleges that are part of District 1 and the Medallion awards are given annually on the district level.
“Being recognized by your peers is always gratifying, but what means more is that this campaign has resonated with prospective students and internal constituents alike,” says Kanak. “Students see the campaign as an invitation—come find yourself... here. Faculty and administrators see it as a promise–you will find yourself here. ”
The 30-second spots were produced in partnership with Dell Fascione of Schultz & Williams and Allied Pixel, an integrated media production company, as part of the College's advertising campaign. The spots air on cable channels in Delaware and Chester Counties as well as at select movie theaters. You can view the award-winning spot here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGmVOFO6oa0&feature=plcp
