College’s Spring Specticast Series Features Six Concerts
(Delaware/Chester Counties, PA • December 20, 2011)—The spring 2012 season of Delaware County Community College’s SpectiCast series kicks off January 8 and features six “live” simulcast concerts broadcast in HD. All performances will be held in the STEM Center Auditorium Room 1403 at the Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).
Now in its second year, the College’s SpectiCast series brings the classical realm of music, dance and opera closer to home for residents of Delaware and Chester Counties. Each concert is produced in real time using a state-of-the-art audiovisual system and is choreographed to capture the fullness of the orchestral performance and the intimacy of the on-stage experience.
Following is the schedule for January through May:
Sunday, January 8, at 2 p.m.—Franz Lehar composes Die Lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow)
Sunday, January 29, at 2 p.m. — Europa Konzert from Napoli
Sunday, February 12, at 2 p.m. — W.A. Mozart: Cosi Fan Tutte
Sunday, March 4, at 2 p.m. — Mendelssohn Gala Featuring Lang Lang
Sunday, April 1, at 2 p.m. — Europa Konzert from Moscow
