Launch Your Career Comeback Workshop Begins 9/20
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • August 30, 2016)—Register now for Launch Your Career Comeback, a workshop for women that begins Tuesday, September 20 and ends Tuesday, November 22. This 10-week workshop runs on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Delaware County Community College’s Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).
If you are a woman who is considering a major life change, such as re-entering the workplace or returning to school to build up your employable strengths and skills, then this workshop is for you. You’ll receive support, personal attention and a structured approach to career planning and decision-making. Participants explore their strengths and possible career options, develop a career-action plan, create a resume, develop a LinkedIn Profile and practice effective interviewing skills. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality test is used extensively and is included in the price of the workshop.
The workshop is facilitated by Susan Miller, a counselor in the College’s Career and Counseling Center, and Peggy Schils, a licensed professional counselor and counselor in the Career and Counseling Center. Miller and Schils both hold master’s degrees in counseling and have extensive experience working with women and their career issues as well as with job search techniques for unemployed adults.
The workshop is limited to 12 people and seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost of the workshop is $125 for residents of sponsoring school districts and $175 for those in non-sponsoring districts.
