DCCC to Host STEM Career Day for Local High School Students April 24
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA - April 18, 2024)—Local high school juniors and seniors as well as other prospective students are invited to discover the range of career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at STEM Career Day at Delaware County Community College’s Marple Campus (910 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063) on Wednesday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to visit the College’s STEM labs; hear from successful College alums in STEM fields; and learn from employers and representatives from four-year colleges about high-growth, high-paying careers and transfer opportunities. Attendees will also hear from professionals in industries ranging from engineering to pharmaceuticals and discover how hands-on learning leads to real-world applications.
The event will feature a special STEM Career and College Fair where attendees can conduct mock science experiments and meet with representatives of regional STEM employers as well as local four-year colleges and universities. A continental breakfast will be offered to all attendees and a complimentary lunch will be provided to high school students. Select school districts will be providing transportation for their students to attend this event.
