What are placement tests?
As part of our competency-based curriculum, Delaware County Community College requires high school graduates to be proficient in mathematics, reading, writing and speech communication. All students must take placement tests in these areas before registering for courses. If a student is placed in transitional courses, they are required to complete these courses before registering for more than 12 college-level credits.
