Delaware County Community College's Early College Academy gives qualified high school students the opportunity to complete half of an associate degree by the time they graduate. Tuition is only $100 per credit, which is a savings of more than 65 percent off the College’s regular tuition costs.
Early College Academy is a two-year commitment open to any eligible 9th through 12th grade student. To be eligible, students must demonstrate academic ability and motivation, and have qualifying ACT/SAT scores or test at the college level on the College's placement test.
This fall, courses are offered at the Marple Campus Monday through Friday from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. (free busing will be provided for Phoenixville Area High School). Students can choose from the following degrees:
• Business Administration
• General Business
• Emergency Management and Planning
• Mechanical Engineering
In addition, there are certificate programs that students may complete by the time they graduate from high school. These include electro-mechanical technologies, network engineering, web programming, interactive multimedia and medical assistant.
Other popular classes are offered, and those who do not wish to participate in the two-year option can still take courses and earn college credits through High School Dual Enrollment.
Students who participate in this exciting opportunity benefit from the personal attention and guidance of the College’s Dual Enrollment team. To apply or learn more, call 610-359-5157.
