The College’s Dual Enrollment Program provides eligible high school students the opportunity to earn college credits while they are still in high school at a fraction of the standard tuition rates.
The College offers different types of dual enrollment programs such as College in the High School, Open Dual Enrollment and Structured Pathways. Depending on high school participation, high school students may participate in College in the High School or a Structured Pathways program. However, any eligible high school student may participate in Open Dual Enrollment.
The Teacher Education Program is open to high school students who are ready to jumpstart their coursework toward a professional career in the preK-12 education field.
The PACE+ Program provides Residential Carpentry and Electrical pre-apprenticeship programs that can lead to Apprenticeships, Certificate programs or employment.
Please note: registration for all college courses as a Dual Enrollment High School student depends on test scores and prerequisite requirements.
If you wish to learn more about the different types of dual enrollment, visit the Open Dual Enrollment, College in the High School and Structured Pathways pages on the website.
Student Spotlight
“Dual enrollment at Delaware County community college has been one of the most empowering experiences I've ever had. I started taking classes as an undecided major the summer before ninth grade. I was extremely nervous about how I was going to manage the workload with high school and my sports life. This was quickly abolished once I realized that with hard work and a good mindset with the help of the amazing staff at the college I could achieve my goals. Dual enrollment has given me an opportunity to study and work through classes I would never have the ability to take at my high school.
With the support of my amazing advisor Mrs. Oakley and my professors I was able to push through all my struggles and become the student I am today. The Dual Enrollment office has amazed me with how much commitment and hard work they put forth for their dual enrollment students and it has touched my heart forever. They have been the crucial part in helping me achieve my goals both academically and career wise. I hope future dual enrollment students get the once of a lifetime opportunity to experience this amazing family of educators and advisors.”
