The Teacher Education Program, or TEP, is designed to help interested students jumpstart their education toward a professional career in the PreK-12 education field.
Recognizing the critical teacher shortage in Delaware County, DCCC and Delaware County Council partnered to create this important initiative, whereby high school juniors can now attend the College at no cost and earn up to 38 credits toward an associate degree in education. A new cohort will begin Fall 2024 (August 26, 2024).
Students who are eligible to participate in this dual enrollment pathway will have the opportunity to meet with the Transfer Office to discuss transfer options, as well as have access to a success coach and tutoring for their English and Mathematics courses. Laptops are also available, as well as enrichment activities throughout the program.

Hear from our TEP students:
“As a high school student who has no real idea what I want to do after I graduate, this program has helped me consider new opportunities and rule out others. Ultimately, I feel more equipped to handle whatever life throws at me, and I can apply to colleges knowing I will stand out from the crowd as an even more well-rounded person and a highly competitive applicant!” John Q.
“The DCCC Teacher Education Program gave me a boost into the world of college and has been encouraging me to be my best self. It’s a wonderful opportunity that I would choose again and again.” Abigail G.
