Program Description

This certificate is designed to prepare the student for entry-level positions in the occupational specialty of residential carpentry. Students are offered learning experiences in the basics of blueprint reading, design concepts as well as the building, installing and repairing residential structures.

Resource Spotlight – The Advanced Technology Center (ATC) offers 32,000 square feet of classroom and laboratory space where students prepare for a wide range of in-demand occupations, from traditional trades to high-tech engineering technology programs. Students learn using the latest tools and equipment in automotive technology, CAD/CAM, carpentry, residential and commercial electrical, electronics, HVAC, industrial systems, machine tool technology, plumbing, robotics, and welding.
