Coaching and Developing Employees (20 hours)
This course teaches managers to harness the power of coaching in the workplace. Learn the benefits of developing your team and assist employees in growing their skills in ways that transform and empower them to be more productive while also improving their own leadership capability.
Managing Diversity (16 hours)
This course offers a conceptual framework for understanding diversity and its effects on organizational behavior. Effective management tools will be provided as well as a practical overview of laws that govern diversity in the workplace.
Organizational Learning and Development (16 hours)
In order to attract and retain talent organizations need to provide employees with opportunities to grow and learn in their careers. As a result, learning and development programs have become a critical talent management tool. This course will introduce managers and human resource directors to processes that other successful organizations utilize for success and discuss them in order to create takeaways for immediate application.
Understanding Established and New Federal Laws (16 hours)
This course will discuss some of the more impactful legislation affecting human resources managers as well as update students on new, lesser-known legislation. Additionally, students will be updated on possible future changes based on current trending initiatives.
Human Resources for Small Business (10 hours)
Oftentimes, the human resources manager in a small company wears many hats. This course will help organize that person as well as provide her/him with essential knowledge to keep the company compliant and protect employees. Topics covered will include understanding unemployment compensation, workers compensation insurance, keeping proper employee files, disciplinary action protocol and creating and administering evaluations.
