Services
If you are seeking assistance in finding the right employment, you are invited to attend an orientation session where you will receive an overview of services. At this session, we will also help you enroll in the Commonwealth Workforce Development System, and you will learn how to use this online system to connect with potential employers. Call our office at 610-723-1220 for the current schedule.
At PA CareerLink®, workshops are offered on a range of topics such as résumé writing, interviewing skills, networking, researching the job market, articulating skills and career management. Check out the College’s calendar of events for workshop descriptions, scheduling and registration.
We also provide funded training for high-priority occupations to those who meet established criteria set forth by the Delaware County Office of Employment and Training (DCOET). Training is made possible by the DCOET through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).
Assessment
Individual appointments for career guidance and support with employment-related activities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All of our staff are experienced, qualified individuals who are highly invested in guiding you as you navigate career pathways and the job market.
WorkKeys®, a job skills assessment system, is available to participants. It measures “real world” workplace skills that employers believe are critical to success on the job. Your scores may lead to your earning a nationally recognized National Career Readiness Certificate. If you participate in WorkKeys®, you are supported via information sessions, staff guidance and access to the KeyTrain® online learning system. This allows you to pre-qualify and build skills before taking WorkKeys®. WorkKeys® has been developed by ACT™, an international leader in educational assessment.
