BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH ARE A CONTRACT, SO READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING. WITHOUT LIMITATION, THIS CONTRACT INCLUDES INDEMNITIES TO THE PROMOTION PARTIES FROM YOU AND A LIMITATION OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES.
By participating in this contest, you completely release Instagram and Facebook from responsibility for the social posts. You acknowledge that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Facebook.
The “Grad Cap Contest” (“Contest”) starts at 9 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on 4/16/24 and ends at 8 p.m. (ET) on 5/20/24 (“Entry Period”). The sponsor of this contest is Delaware County Community College’s Marketing and Communications Office, 901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063 (“Sponsor”). The Contest shall be subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein and the decisions of the Sponsor, including the interpretation of these Official Rules and its exercise and discretion, which will be final and binding in all respects.
ELIGIBILITY: ENTRY IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES, WHERE NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, WHO ARE EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, HAVE INTERNET ACCESS AND ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLED DELAWARE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS IN GOOD ACADEMIC AND DISCIPLINARY STANDING THROUGH THE TIME PERIOD OF April 16, 2024 – May 20, 2024 and are eligible for Spring 2024 Graduation. The minimum overall GPA requirement to stay in good academic standing is a 2.0. All U.S. Federal, state and local rules and regulations apply. Void outside the Eligibility Area and where prohibited or restricted by law. By sharing a photo in this Contest, participants agree to abide by all terms of these Official Rules. Sponsor has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant.
ENTRANTS MUST EITHER HAVE OR CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON INSTAGRAM OR FACEBOOK TO POST YOUR PHOTO ENTRY. IN ORDER TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST USE HASHTAGS “#DCCCgrad2024” and “#DCCCgradcap” AND TAG YOUR IMAGE WITH “@DelawareCCC”.
HOW TO ENTER: Instagram and Facebook are mobile apps that you can download on iOS and Android devices. If you don’t already have a personal Instagram or Facebook account, you will need to create an account and username. Entrants may upload photos of themselves (a “selfie”) wearing the cap or post a photo of the decorated cap on Instagram and/or Facebook with the required hashtags any time during the duration of the contest. Group selfies are permitted. However, if the winning entry is a group selfie, only the Instagram or Facebook user who uploaded the photo is the winning party. Inappropriate photos will not be considered and could involve disciplinary action. Graduates are free to use their creativity, but decorations may not include profanity or other inappropriate words and/or images. Be thoughtful about what you publish. ENTRIES MUST USE THE HASHTAGS #DCCCgrad2024 and “#DCCCgradcap” AND THE IMAGE MUST BE TAGGED WITH “@DelawareCCC”.
Limit one (1) photo entry per Instagram or Facebook account. Only one submission per graduate.
PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s consent to Delaware County Community College’s use of entrant’s name, likeness and photo submission for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration and releases Delaware County Community College and the Contest Administrators from all claims arising out of the use of such attributes. Consent is irrevocable.
WINNER SELECTION, NOTIFICATION AND ACCEPTANCE: Each photo uploaded to Instagram or Facebook that properly tags the College’s account and uses the provided hashtags will be reviewed by Delaware County Community College on or by 5/30/24 at 12 p.m. The winning entrieswill be announced on the College’s Instagram and Facebook pages: http://instagram.com/delawareCCC and https://www.facebook.com/DelawareCountyCommunityCollege. Our volunteer judges will vote for their favorite decorated graduation cap and the winner(s) must contact Cass Hamby at chamby@dccc.edu or 610-359-5051 from the Delaware County Community College Marketing and Communications Office to claim their prize by 6/30/24 at 12 p.m.
GENERAL: Sponsor accepts no responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from an entrant’s participation in the Contest. By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to these Official Rules and waivers, and releases Sponsor, from, all claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with this contest or delivery, non-delivery, acceptance, possession, use of, or inability to use the prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses, and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, or destruction of property, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty, or other theory.
PRIZES: First, Second and Third place winners will be selected for the Grad Cap Contest, as chosen by Delaware County Community College. The first-place winner will receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card. The second prize winner will receive a Delaware County Community College sweatshirt and the third prize winner will receive a Delaware County Community College t-shirt. The prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. The prizes must be claimed by 6/30/24 at 12 p.m. Otherwise, the Sponsor has the right to select a new winner.
