Getting started

  • Online courses begin Summer I: May 17 & Summer II: July 6.
  • Classes will be accessible on the first day of the session.
  • Purchase textbooks during the first week of class.

To access your course

  1. Go to www.dccc.edu/dl,
  2. Click Current Schedules (left side), then click online course schedule.
  3. Scroll down and find your class.
  4. Click Login Help next to the class that you are enrolled in.

For additional information, click the instructor's name next to the course you are taking.

Your course syllabus will be found online.
Print it out!

 Important information for a successful semester

  • Please allow your instructor at least 36 hours to respond to your inquiries. Successful distance learning students are motivated and dedicated to their educational goals.
  • Summer sessions move quickly, so manage your time wisely.
  • For questions about your course, your grades or related academic matters, contact your instructor.
  • For general distance learning questions or to schedule an exam at a satilite center, contact distance learning.

WebStudy Login Help

Classes will be accessible the first day of the semester.

Your WebStudy User Name and Password

Both are the same

User Name: first letter of your first name + entire last name + last 4 digits of your student ID number (usually your social security number)
Password: first letter of your first name + entire last name + last 4 digits of your student ID number (usually your social security number)

Example

Sally Brown, Student Number 123-45-6789

  • Sally's User Name: sbrown6789
  • Sally's Password: sbrown6789

If you changed your password the last time you used WebStudy, the formula above will not work. You must use the password you chose.

If you used WebStudy at another school your User Name and Password will be your first initial + last name + last 4 digits of student ID number + 2 (for example sbrown67892)

Before you Login

WebStudy works best with Internet Explorer 5.5 & up or Netscape 6.0 & up. Visit the WebStudy download page to get the latest browsers and plugins.

Make sure your browser has the correct settings: Accept Cookies, Enable JavaScript/ActiveX, and Refresh Pages Each Time.

AOL users should access the Internet using AOL, then use Netscape or Internet Explorer. Visit the WebStudy download page to get the latest browsers and plugins.

Add the WebStudy login page to your Bookmarks or Favorites for easy access.

Login to WebStudy

  1. Access the Internet.
  2. Go to dccc.whyy.org
  3. Locate the Registered User Login Box (sample shown)
  4. Enter your
    User Name (#1)
    and
    Password (#2)
  5. Click Login (#3)

Access your class

  1. Click the drop-down menu in the upper right corner and select your class. Your class home page will open automatically.
  2. From this point you can begin working in your course – check the Timeline tab first. Usually a syllabus is linked from the first session.
